About me

My full name is Justin Robert Roush and I was born in Denver, Colo. Both of my parents grew up in Arvada, Colo. and attended Pomona High School. My parents wed in 1985 and I was born in June of that same year.

My Dad took a job when I was 1-year-old in Sterling Heights, Mich. While living in Michigan, my mom gave birth to my little sister, Ashley, in 1989. Our family lived there for five years and while living in Michigan, my love for sports began.

My father was a college baseball player at Regis University in Denver but was an overall good athlete at everything. He had me playing with baseballs, footballs, basketballs and soccer balls as soon as I could stand up. He never forced it upon me according to my mom but I kind of doubt that. She claims I just loved throwing the football about two feet and laugh and go pick it up and do it again.

While I loved playing sports at such a young age, I also loved watching sports. I understood football really well at a young age(once again according to my parents) and my first favorite team became apparent while we lived in Michigan. Being as we lived in "Big Blue" country, I became a Michigan Wolverine football fan much to my dad's discretion. My dad grew up a Notre Dame fan and would of much rathered me be a Notre Dame fan. His wish of his son being a Notre Dame fan eventually became a reality and lets just say I took it to another level.

When my family and I moved back to Denver in 1991 I still stood strong as a Wolverine fan. As time past though, I lost my love for Michigan football because their games were not nationally televised every week while another team was. That team was Notre Dame.

I began cheering for and watching the Irish every Saturday with my Dad and Grandpa and found a passion in my life that has never changed and never will. I would cry when the Irish would lose until I was 12 or 13 years old. I loved this team will all my heart.

My love for Notre Dame fooball is only slightly greater than my love for Denver Bronco football. It's kind of like I have two girlfriends. One is for Saturday and the other is for Sunday.

My grandpa, who I call "Papa," has owned season tickets to the Broncos since the 70's. I have gone to most of the games with him for as long as I can remember. I watched the Broncos through the John Elway years and I can't even start on how much I love that guy! I am as loyal as it gets to the Denver Broncos. If Mike Shannahan says this is the team he's putting on the field, I am 100% behind him. I can't say I never criticize players or coaches on the Broncos but I do it very very very sparingly.

Most recently, Papa has passed down the season tickets into my name and I can promise you they will stay in my name until I am no longer here.

Go Irish and Broncos!!!!
